One Great Technical Training And So Much More…
Yesterday was the technical foundations training for the last IMA batch of the year, and most probably the last IMA ever.
I had fun yesterday, even though with some puke-blood sessions. As of all people beginning Internet Marketing, or with people just starting to be exposed to computers, it’s always a challenge for me to find tons of analogies and examples to explain a technical term or an idea across.
We had the good fortune to have the prettiest coach ever in IMA, Sarah Tan, from our June Intake IMA. I hope we didn’t scare her away when it ended at about 11.15pm. It was supposed to end at about 10.15 to 10.30pm and it went grossly overtime. Sarah, if you are reading this, Sorry hor! hehehhehe…
Nevertheless, this IMA has the largest amount of females to date. So there’s plenty of eye-candy to go around, which gives me more motivation to carry on. Darling, if you are reading this, please don’t pinch my ears, I mean no harm! You can ogle at guys at your company if you want… :p
Anyways, back to topic proper. I see some potential people in the course. It isn’t gauge by how much technical skills you have or how business savvy you are, but by the mindset and the attitude that you have. I’ve seen countless cases, where a person who is so ‘crappy’ in their understanding of Internet Marketing or whichever ways. But with their persistence, they come out from behind to thoroughly impress you. Some of these people include my dear friend Jacklyn Ker, Peterson and Stam from July Intake. They’ve shown great perseverance and dedication in what they do. Look at them today, though they’ve not made too much money, but they are well-aligned to proceed in that direction.
I like this analogy. If we want to use a bow & arrow to hit a target, what do we do? We take a bow & arrow, take aim at the target and shoot right? Yes, if only life is that simple. You see, I’ve seen countless cases of people who blindly shoot all over the place and hoping to hit ’something’. Well, they will always hit something, just whether that something is really what they want.
Then you have people who complain that even if they shoot, they may not hit the target, so why bother? Well, nobody said anything on hitting the target on the first attempt. Shoot once, miss. Shoot twice, miss again. You might hit on the 3rd attempt. But the thing is, you are getting closer on the 1st two attempts! You miss, but you are darn close!
I hope this little rant aligns your mindset a little bit more towards success.
Once again, thank you very much coaches for your help yesterday! Kudos to Sarah, Wong and Peterson!
Cheers,
Ming Chern
