One Hell Of A Sunday…

Ever since tons and tons of people commented on the weight that I’ve put on, after enduring all the constructive criticism and an overwhelming desire to become slim and healthy, I’ve joined my wife (breadfairy)’s cardio stretch class.

What’s a cardio stretch? It’s like aerobics (1 hour) and stretching exercises(30mins). Yesterday was my 2nd lesson and when I woke up today, my arse and my entire legs seems to be made of lead.

During the entire 1.5 hours, I did my best to keep up with the entire class. It was really difficult as i’ve not done such intensive exercises for a long time. Even being the youngest in the class didn’t help. Majority were ‘aunties’ that has done such exercises for many many years already. It was incredible to see someone in their 40s and able to keep up. This just shows their dedication really.

But why am I saying all these? What has this got to do with my IM-themed blog? Well, of course i wouldn’t be referring to the hard skills, such as research, SEO, etc… But it’s really pertaining to the soft skills that we accumulate over time.

You see, when we all first begin Internet Marketing or any other things, we’ll be fraught with so many challenges and battle injuries. When we are going through the ‘punishment’ of intense pain, it’s what we decide to do, that separates from the winners and the losers. During the first 3months of beginning IM, I’m sure everyone puts in tons and tons of effort. Going thru so much pain but seems to get no where.

It was the same for my venture. So much effort, so much money and never seems to get ahead. Luckily, I’m still proud to say I was hungry and desperate enough to want to make this work. So I persevered on. So now, with one year onwards, everything seems easier and implementation of business strategies are much clearer now.

If I had given up 8 months into IM, I wouldn’t have written this post.

You see, in life, we have to go through loads of endurance test, we experienced extreme hardship, pain and all negativities during the initial part, but once we past this initial stage, we’ll be alright. Just like for my cardio stretch class, just like when a rocket takes off, 80% of the fuel is to lift the rocket off the ground into the space.

It’s always about the pareto principle. 80/20 rule. 80% hardship generates 20% results, etc…

I hope this has been of help to you all, especially for those beginning IM. Persevere onwards and you’ll arrive one day. :)

Cheers,
Ming Chern

Yeah, glad that it serves as a motivation to you.

I wrote it also to remind myself that during times where everything seemed bleak and going wrong, it only serves to put me into a greater fighting mood.

Hope it does the same for ya.

Let me know if you need any help in your IM journey, and I’ll help to the best of my knowledge. :)
