Going back to roots

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

This is pretty interesting.
I just realized that I had not blogged in my flagship site for over 6 months!

Talk about being lax.
For the longest time, I’ve stayed away from the IM niche as a respect to my master, so that there is no conflict of interests.

But after months of consideration and planning, I believe it is time for me to come back to the niche that I started from.

I’m definitely much more equipped, had a much better understanding and tons of experience to share to my readers.

I’ve always been doing affiliate marketing, but as the stars have shown, it is time that I should be creating my very own Internet Marketing product. It will be due early June, so please stay tuned guys!

Honestly, after being away from this blog for so long, I’m not sure if I had any more readers left, but it’s definitely a start! If you are still out there! Do drop me a comment to let me know you are still out there. :)

After all, I’m still the #1 Technical Coach! hahaha, my blog still #1 after so long. Seems like my SEO is working huh? :p

Take care & be well!

Technical Coach Series: Creating a PDF file

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

This is the continuation of my technical coach series to Kate’s question on how to create a download-able pdf file.

In these question, there are basically few things to learn.
1) How to create a PDF file
2) How to FTP your file up
3) How to identify your link for people to download.

Take my blog header for example:
You can download it here.
This will be what we are simulating to create a link for your readers to download.

Step ONE:
Now, to create a PDF file, the fastest way is to install a program called PrimoPDF. It’s free to download and install.
Here is how you would use it. After you’ve finished typing your content in Microsoft Word. All you need to do is to PRINT the document and choose the printer:PrimoPDF. There would then be a popup window asking you on where to save it to.
This is basically it. You’ve created a PDF.

Step TWO:
The next thing to do is to FTP the file up to your hosting server. For those who want a good hosting, I would recommend Blue Host (Click here to find out), i’m using it rite now and you can be assured of its reliability. :)
Now, the software for FTP is called FileZilla, you can download it here and it’s free.

Step THREE:
Once you’ve connected and uploaded your file to your server, you can now give the link to your intended people.
Just note that if you’ve uploaded to /public_html/files/myfile.pdf on the right window of filezilla, your link would be www.myowndomain.com/files/myfile.pdf. This is assuming you own www.MyOwnDomain.com, of course.

Okay, I hope this helps a little. :)
Stay in touch.

Ming Chern

P.S. I welcome more questions. I want to answer them. :)

Looking Back Year 2007…

Sunday, December 9th, 2007

This blog post is inspired by Jacklyn, who is a very good friend of mine, also teaching me the meaning of life through her life stories. Thank you Jacklyn, for being a guiding beacon in my life! :)

Hmmm, how should I start? This year has been a pretty interesting year for me. It is for me to discover more about myself, my limitations, my goals, my inspirations and my focus.

I began the year helping Stuart in the Internet Marketing department of Adam Khoo Learning Tech Group. As I had only started IM about 4 months before I moved fully into IM, I quickly realized that I have tons to learn. We started off the year pushing the product Internet Money Secrets 2007, only to be canceled during March when John & Rich couldn’t make it here.

After that, I witness the power of masters at work, (more…)
