Cool right? I’m ranked #1 for all the above keywords. Well, I’m sure there are more out there, mostly for those I didn’t really push for it. But for the above, I applied SEO-strategies taught by Stuart, and voila, I’m number one for these.

Well, the above stated doesn’t give me any traffic, but it sure boosts my ego lar. hehehehhe…

Today I received one of my cheques for affiliating web hosting services…

It’s not too bad, considering that I stopped affiliating IM niches like 6 months ago. To-date, I still receive constant pay checks in the hundreds for work done more than 6 months ago.

The more i think about it, the happier I become. It’s because I’m changing my mobile phone to HTC Touch next week. Due to my hectic schedule and the on going technical support I give to my IMA students, I realized that my trusty Sony Ericsson K750i just doesn’t cut it anymore.

I can’t check my mail, my tasks, my multiple training schedules, meetings, etc, etc… Wow, I’m getting bludgered to smitherens man! This affiliate cheque nicely pays for my doodads. Well, why next week? Cos it’s a birthday present for myself lar… (10Nov)… muahahhaa…

In any case, I remembered why I started Internet Marketing. It’s for a search for a better life. It’s to replace my current life with something that’s better, easier and of course, more money.

Just think of it this way, You constantly get paid for something that you did 6 months ago, this, I find is totally incredible.

Oh btw, the course I’m coaching for Stuart, Internet Marketing Academy would be running soon on 6th Nov. This would be the last IMA and probably the last of the everything. We realised that while it’s great value, the time we put in and the returns just doesn’t cut it anymore.

I remember there was a preview participant who refuses to sign up and keep saying that the ‘last run’ is not the last run, but a marketing gimmick. If it were a good course, we’ll continue running it. Well, he’s right, it’s NOT a good course? Well, for us trainers that is. :p We give our heart & soul for the participants and willing them to succeed. But well, some are just too employee-minded. Must guarantee results. Ha!

Anyways, for my readers who’ve heard about IMA and have not joined it. I urge you to call AKLTG and look for me. Sign up and one day, you’ll be able to get a check that pays off your nice little doodads, for a start. Then move on to career replacement.

Installing wordpress has got to be one of the easiest thing to do. Provided that your hosting account has fantastico enabled.

Before I begin, some of us may not know what is wordpress. Well, it’s very simple, Wordpress is simply a software that helps you to blog. My website is currently running on this software.

Installation is really a breeze for those who have Fantastico in their cpanel account.
cPanel is simply a control panel for one’s domain hosting. You usually access cPanel by doing a domain.com/cpanel
Upon reaching your cpanel, look for the blue smiley button.

Two days ago,

I touched on the power of trial & error for the Wordpress Widgets and received, well, quite a few responses from peterson & hungyin.
Yup, as the title shows, it’s a series, so I should continue on the wordpress coaching series.

I’m touching on how to link to other people or ask other people to link to you.
For those who are using the older version of wordpress, it’s the tab called ‘Links’,
for those using the latest version, it’s the tab named ‘Blogroll’

When we link to other people, we need to know a little of the term Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
Usually, when we ask people to link to us, we ask them to do this. www.RisingIMStar.com

But we really should be doing this Wordpress Coach.

So why this? This is because I want my website RisingIMStar.com to be on page one of the search engines when people type in Wordpress Coach.

I’m currently ranked number one if you type in ‘Internet Marketing Technical Coach’ into Google. Yes, I don’t get traffic from the Search Engines using this keyword, but it sure works well for the ego! Hehehehehe…

So if you are linking to other people or asking other people to link to you, make sure you do your research well and choose a keyword for them to link to you or vice versa.

I remember when I began using wordpress for my blogging needs, whenever I wanted to change anything to the sidebar,
I have to sift thru all the HTML code just to find the place where I need to insert my code, i.e. Google Adsense, Affiliate Recommendations, etc, etc…

So I was thinking to myself, if I’m a web programmer by training and I have to go through all the trouble to add all this, what would happen to those IMers who are not trained?

Well, there was this method that is guaranteed to work. It’s called trial & error. Hehehhe…
So what happens? The first thing you do is to keep a copy of the original code, then with whatever code you have, you literally slot into the place that you think is the correct place and test it out.

If it works, great! If it doesn’t, simply take out that code and move to another place.

Well, that was last time. The newer version of wordpress is so much better.
Basically in the sidebar portion.

Now, wordpress sidebar works in the same light as Blogger page elements.
Whenever you need to insert a new code, i.e. MyBlogLog Recent Readers,
you just need to drag one ‘Text’ widget into the sidebar, click on the configure box and paste the code there.

So what happens if you have a 3 column theme and you want to move the Recent Readers from left to right sidebar?
Simple, just drag & drop to the other sidebar will do…
