Why 99% fail online

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

Why do people fail online? It’s because of their commitment to stay ahead of the game.
Ever since I’ve been helping Stuart on his internet marketing stuffs and been talking to alot of people.

Alot of questions are the same. How do I make money online, How do I make a million online…
Blar blar blar.

The worst thing is, someone came up to me and start asking all the questions about the fundamentals of Internet Marketing.
I’m always game for questions on how to begin, because I’m usually patient. note: usual… hahaha…

But as we chatted, I began to understand his mindset.
He wants to attain financial freedom, he don’t know anyone who can get him there.
He wouldn’t want to spend a single cent and he’s not willing to spend the time.
I quoted my example for Google and he actually was astonished that I spend some time with my auto blogging software and the rest of it is on autopilot.
You know why he was astonished? It’s because I have to DO SOMETHING in the beginning! COME ON!

One strange thing is, I’ve been talking to alot of people and they actually believed that internet marketing is unethical and that it’s some get-rich-quick scheme. They think it’s about embarking on IM and generating one million the other minute.
Seriously, I really pity these guys!

COME ON GUYS! Internet Marketing is NOT internet DESIGN, NOT internet TECH, NOT internet bullshit…
IT’S ABOUT MARKETING on the internet, it’s about running your business on the internet!

Show me ONE business where you don’t need to spend time and you need to spend money and I’ll eat my words.

I can continue to rant on…
but i think you get the picture.

Stay committed, continue your learning.
Hope on down to Stuart’s Convention to learn from the BEST in the industry.
Seriously, continue investing in your education and your mindset and you’ll NEVER regret it. :)

Cheers,
Ming

Staying ahead of the game with free resources, YouTube, Google Video

Tuesday, January 30th, 2007

Even though I’m paying for my hosting. And really encourage everyone to get their own hosting for their blogging software, there are still certain good things out there to help the average Internet Marketer to boost forward in their profits and get themselves known. :)

Today I’ll be touching on the free video hosting and the opportunities that people miss out on.

Firstly, what can you do at/with YouTube? Watch videos? That’s it? maybe not.
As an internet marketer, what we can do is to HOST our videos at YouTube.
There are several benefits that we can derive from this.

Viral Marketing and its benefits for YOU!

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2007

Alot of people go through the motion when it comes to marketing and website branding.
But in this ever-increasing competiveness of the world and the ever-evolving trend,
we need to be different. To be unique in our methods in order to stand out.

Yes, we need to do opt-ins, we need to go blogs to comment, exchange back links, yada yada yada.
But the question is… Is this enough?
The answer is NO!

Let me bring you back on a little journey to last christmas.
Out of the blue, I decided to do something different to promote my website

What I did was a 3 page powerpoint presentation.
1st page: “Let’s play a game”
2nd page: “*** BIG HUG ***”
3rd page: “Now, give a big hug to 5 more of your friends”

At end bottom of every page, i wrote:

Guess what, my traffic tripled for that 2 days.

Run Your Wedding Like A Business

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

Yes, I agree. This sounds extremly mercenary, but the fact is, it is during weddings that we need to be extremly mindful of our budget, our savings, our cashflow, our projected ‘return-on-investment’.

I ran my wedding like a business. My relatives and friends are my ‘clients’. The restaurant that I hosted my wedding is my seminar hall. My in-laws and my parents are somewhat my ’sponsors’. They supply some money for me to run my ‘business’.

Also, putting the money aside from our parents. They are also like the boards of directors where they have to approve the financial year forecast. The expected ‘clients’ that we’ll be expecting, the projected return on investment from them.

Too many a times, ‘business’ people are not mindful of their budget, cash on hand and their cash flow. Because they want to impress their ‘clients’. They overspent on the ‘advertisement’ budget by renting a much more expensive venue than they can really afford. By hiring ‘bad’ clients who doesn’t ‘pay up’ or who ‘drives a bargain’.
